Lance has been apart of the outdoor experience for most of his life. He has worked professionally since 2001 as a guide. He has also hunted all over the western United States for Elk, Deer, Antelope, Bear, and many upland species. When Lance is not spending his time in the outdoors he resides in Spanish Fork, UT with his wife Alisha and their 4 children.
Kaycee is most known for his 6 world championships that he has won in the Bareback rodeo world. He is one of the greatest to ever ride. He has always had a passion and drive for the outdoors and will do everything he can to provide you with the experience of a lifetime. When Kaycee is not roaming around the mountains in search of big game, he can be found enjoying his ranch in Genola, UT and spending time with his wife Stephanie and their 3 children.
Parker is one of the most passionate people you will find when it comes to the outdoors. Parker is extremely skilled behind the glass and will work hard to help you have an unforgettable time here at Coal Fork. When he is not out chasing elk and deer you will find him wetting a line as a master fisherman. He also loves to spend many days in the duck blind. He resides in Benjamin, UT with his wife Liberty.
This place is first class all of the way! The Lodge is spectacular! Light breakfast coffee, muffins etc. Hop in an ATV and ride to a spot where you get out and short walk to get set up to glass and bugle. Lots of Elk!! Back to the Lodge for a late breakfast early lunch depending on what you discovered in the morning hunt. Relax, get ready for the evening hunt. Guides Lance Hansen and Kaycee Feild are fantastic and they know where the elk are! When you get one down and the real work starts they link back up to get the animal back to the lodge. If you are interested in the hunt of a lifetime this is the spot!!! Easy access from Salt Lake City Airport, they have elk tags and will handle the paperwork on the Utah State hunting license. 5 Stars I highly recommend Coal Fork Outfitters!!
I have been fortunate to film hunts in many beautiful places around the world. Coal fork is easily one of my favorites. The amount of animals we saw was staggering. I'll never forget listening to hundreds (not exaggerating) of bugles one evening. Watching the bulls fight, cows chirping...it's a rare thing to experience elk acting so naturally. The food was top notch, the cook was a wonderful lady who made fancy meals with home-cooked vibe. The lodge is literally one of the nicest places I've ever been in my lifetime, hunting or not. It was so amazing, once I showed my wife a video of it, she flew down from Canada just to enjoy it for a few days. The scenery looked almost fake, everywhere you turned could have been a postcard. But most of all, it was Lance and Kaycee that really tied it all together. We took a beautiful herd bull and saw many more that were contenders. They are professional, fun, knowledgeable and passionate hunters. I hope I get to return someday, because this is an operation that will often be fully booked.
Our hunting takes place on the Bear Mountain CWMU management unit just east of Mt. Pleasant, UT.
Yes, where we hunt we have guaranteed vouchers through the CWMU hunting program in the state of Utah.
We have a 10,000 sq. foot lodge with all the amenities. You will be staying in your own room with your own separate bathroom. All drinks (excluding alcohol), snacks, and excellent meals will be provided. We will have a full time camp cook available at all times.
We have local butchers that will cut, wrap, and ship to anywhere in the lower 48 states. We also have one of the best taxidermists in the business that we work with and he will ship to anywhere that is needed.
We are often asked "How much do I leave my guide and cook as a tip"? This can be a hard question because it is left to say a job well done. In our experience we feel that if the experience is what you hoped for and you were treated well then we feel it should be 15-20% of the price of the hunt. Remember our guides and cooks are working around the clock to provide an unforgettable experience.
Because of our management objective, which is to provide trophy hunting opportunities, we have to treat wounded animals as possible harvested animals. If you hit an animal that becomes your animal. You may continue to look for and hunt for that animal the remainder of your hunt. However, you will not be able to harvest another animal.
